Masdevallia polysticta Yellow

Description

Masdevallia polysticta is a small epiphytic species, native to Ecuador and Peru where it grows at altitude (1600 to 3000 meters).

Flowering possible from late spring to early winter, on erect stems 15 to 30 cm long. The flowers are multiple, pubescent inside, yellow (for our yellow form, otherwise white) spotted with dark brown and bloom simultaneously.

Masdevallia are humid and cool climate orchids, so be sure to maintain a slight humidity in the substrate.
