A special group of orchids since they are mostly deciduous and require a marked rest (significant reduction in watering) from the fall of the leaves, at the end of autumn, until the resumption of new growth and the appearance of new roots, in spring. Watering will then be gradually resumed, followed by fertilizer (one watering out of two).

Moreover, some of these orchids have the particularity of producing male flowers or female flowers. Very rarely will they produce both types of flower at the same time.
